SMK Corp. has announced the development of the 14 Mbps PLC Module, which is a power line¡¡communication module for domestic use with a maximum communication speed of 14Mbps.
Targeted application is equipment with Ethernet port. The module is compliant with power lines of 100 and 200 V AC. To achieve easy installation into equipment, the module is as compact as a business card. Incorporating the noise-reduction circuit reduces noise leak. Shipment of the module samples will be started in September 2007.
The module has a supply voltage of 5 V DC with 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet as an interface.
