This smartphone is only one of the premiere do-it-all devices on the market--it works everywhere and does almost everything--and is based on an already popular platform. (The predecessor was known as the MDA Vario, et al.) The Trion is a quad-band GSM and 3G (UMTS) phone. It also has integrated wifi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0, GPRS, HDSPA, and EDGE. (In the U.S., Cingular subscribers will particularly appreciate the 3G/HDSPA as it is slowly rolled out across the country.) There is a 240 x 320 touchscreen. And, the 400mhz processor has plenty of horsepower to keep Windows Mobile 5 running the way it was meant to run (and to use Skype over wifi!) Of course since the Trion includes Windows Mobile 5, it includes Pocket Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
